Hi there! My name is Jaime Black and I'm an artist born and raised in Northeast Tennessee. I have always adored the arts and I've been creating things for as long as I can remember. The first notable memories I have consisted of drawing Pokémon characters and the Powerpuff Girls!
I am a self taught artist and I have been painting seriously for around 10 years. I enjoy using a lot of different mediums, but the one I always gravitate towards is acrylic paint. I also work with oils, resin, photography, sculpey, watercolor, colored pencils, markers, and most recently pottery! I'm also into scrapbooking and making custom cards for special occassions.
Other facts about me: I love being outside and going on walks with my Shiba Inu, Evee. I enjoy cooking a lot and I love making a homemade meal from scratch. I love watching movies and tv shows, Breaking Bad and Avatar the last airbender are my favorite TV Shows, and Big Fish is my favorite movie. My career outside of creating art has consisted of mainly customer support/service roles so I'm always eager to bring that same attentiveness and care into my creative work, especially when taking on commissions!
I'm always thinking of how I can make people happy, and there's nothing I love more than creating art for people! It is such an honor to have people trust me for painting commissions, I am always so grateful for anyone who loves my art enough to spend money on it. Creating art is a deep passion of mine, and it's the support of others that makes it increasingly possible for me to live out my dream every day!
